At a time in life when others would opt for a rocking chair and a Pitcher of tea, Jack Remington is charging off after his dream. "I never grew up," he joke's. "It's arrested development."
Over the years, Jack has played everything from Embassies & elegant country clubs to Texas knife & gun honky-tonks. He's looked down gun barrels, dodged beer bottles, & had nights when the audience wouldn't leave, stuffing Jack's guitar so full of money that it was muffled. He's sang in the Greenwich Village folk clubs back in the sixties & toured the Pacific with the U.S.O. back during the Viet-Nam war.
In the seventies, Jack was signed as a songwriter with Seals and Crofts' Dawnbreaker Publishing in Hollywood, where he had several of his songs recorded by prominent Nashville artists.
When mainstream country and pop ran off chasing the youth market, they left a huge audience behind that doesn't relate to what's on mainstream radio today. These are the people who welcome Jack's originality. To keep his name out there and maintain a presence for himself, Jack continued to play gigs across the country, always to audience's who didn't want to leave after he was done playing. He continued playing these gigs, while all the while working on his first Solo LP, which contains 7 original songs written by Jack, and 3 other classic Country/Americana songs, like "Across The Rio Grande"!
In 2013, Dude McLean (who was running Dawnbreaker Publishing, back in the 70's, when Jack was signed as a songwriter) the V.P. of Publishing for Simply Boundless Entertainment, played some of Jack's original tracks for the Simply Boundless CEO Richard Pancoast, and they immediately knew that it was time for Jack's original music to be introduced to the world. The void that was left when mainstream Country & Pop ran off chasing the youth market has now been filled, by none other than Jack Remington, with his critically acclaimed LP "Chameleon".
